api - Socrata SODA and Python -
Socrata confirms that there is no official Python API. I would like to know that there is some reason for this that it would be appropriate to learn a language that supports the official API, i.e. Python (and packages like Pundo) are not the best choice for data ranging.
The specific things that I want to do include seeing sites like data.lacity.gov, I do not set the dates or other parameters in the database that I see on the browser. I get results of a few months, where I was expecting years or decades. Due to this the lack of API and Python support was seen besides the emerging fork of a failed project. I'm assuming that the APIs allow this high visibility, of course.

We have a Python Library Why not yet, about this you might want to check out.
is a short version - this is not because there is something particularly wrong in Python or we do not like it (I think this is a great language), it is high that we have only one There is no in-house expertise to make the place. I would love to write one but obviously I am more of a Ruby than a Pythonist, so I will mess it up in some way so that everyone is unhappy. :)
He said, using the Socrate API is easy to use in some way or just. For example, here's how to make a simple call to use the request library against [data.lacity.org Building Inspection Dataset]:
import request r = requests.get (" Https: // Data.lacity.org/resource/9w5z-rg2h.json?$where=within_circle(lat_lon, 34.053714, -118.242653, 1000) ", header = {" X-App-Token ":" [your APP Token ] "}) R.json () [0] # {u'permit_status '}: You' premit fixal ', you'specify' credal ': u'pripee inspection', u'lat_lon ': {u longitude': u '34.04866 ', You need' need_recoding ': false, spewing': u'-118.23787 '}, u'address': u'100 Allama ST ', U' Explanation: You 'Excavation / Setback / Form / Re-Bar', U. 'Inspection Date': U'2013-08-27 T 00: 00: 00 ', You' Permit ': u '13016-30000-09747'} You have to use with the request, but there are many resources to do this.
