Getting logon error in Cognos bi 10.2 while running it -

Hi, I'm new to Cognos and I'm using the trial version of Sinoos (bi_dev_trial_ed_10.2.1_win_en) and I'm getting this error while running.

Error: QE-DEF-0325 failed logon for the following reason: RQP-DEF-0068 Unable to connect to at least one database during a database 1 Attached in database (s): Great_outdoors_warehouse

If you are working with Oracle then the problem may be that TNS_ADMIN The variable was not setup in the environment.

Set TNS_ADMIN in your Windows environment variable, in the path of your tnsnames.ora file and then restart the server. Example: TNS_ADMIN: In Windows, right-click on 'My Computer' icon and select. I / O 'properties'.

  • Click on the 'Advanced' tab.

  • Click on 'Environment Variables'. / P>

  • Under the 'System Variables' pane, search for the TNS_ADMIN environment variable.

  • Click 'edit' and modify TNS_ADMIN to include the correct path for the Tnsnames.ora file and click on 'OK'.
