git - Jenkins how to trigger build on a schedule only when there are changes -

In our Jenkins and GIT setup, the master is Windows and the slave Linux is I (after some time in the next few months that Linux Will change in).

When you set the Pol SCM in a job, the election is done on the action owner, not the slave where the job is configured to run. Either way .. there is a problem in server config, and I can not run GIT there and can access repo on any other machine through SSH.

Net, I can not use the survey scm until the server gets fixed.

However, I have a construction work, whenever a change needs to be made, because it creates artifacts used to automatically deploy the application for further investigation. I can use the construction on a regular basis, but it will ruin every 30 minutes (for example), and overnight and weekends and most of the time.

So, I want to make some time-bound work, which checks to see what changes are going on after a while. Builds are only for content at a specific branch.

I think I can use rev-list to get the final commitment, but I only want to commit to the special branch. So I can save it in the file and I can check it again on the next part of the job.

If the modification has not matched, then trigger another job.

Is anyone better guided?

I believe you are wrong SCM survey is on a slave where the job is configured to run is done. At least it works the way it is configured to use GIT. If your selection runs on the Windows Master, it is because you have not marked the box "Restrict where job can be run in job configuration", and has specified a group of nodes that include Master does not do.
