vbscript - QTP or selenium or something else? -

I'm partly a QA Automation / partially web developer, mostly QTP / VBScript for automation
I am moving forward in the form of automation architects on a new project soon.
I have a holistic approach and idea for the automation framework, that I want to develop, ready in my mind, I need some help on deciding on automation equipment. I would like to use the QPP because I will be able to use the full library for my current project less level tasks.

One thing where I feel restrained with QPP 'Cross Browser' Support, I think IE can be best targeted only with QTP, Firefox Support for Chrome / Chrome is still a little limited. Also, multiple browsers do not allow QPP testing at a time. (I'm probably mistaken, the latest QTP version is probably supporting it, and if so, I would appreciate it if you can share your experience)
Our goal applications will be mostly web applications and web platform targets IE / Chrome / Firefox / Safari / Opera

So, I'm thinking of giving a try to Selenium or Adventurers as a web developer, I can say that I am good in javascript, So being selenium friendly should not be a big change for me.

Before shedding my hands with Selenium, I want to hear the views of the expert community here.

How do you feel, how well your cross browser 'automation experience is with Selenium / Sahi, or your complaint is the problem of selenium.
How much selenium will be useful about it, such as the opening of the door to the VBscripting world for automation developers, we like the flexibility of QTP - we have VBScripts, system level scripting, or networking related scripting or IE settings programming, runtime Many scripts that support DLL registration or other batch can extend files, database linking (ADODB), Using 3rd party API / Web API etc, XML programming, NAT libraries etc. is using.

Thank you, in advance, very much appreciate sharing your valuable experience.

While this is a debate, I, from my experience, say, SELENIUM there definitely There are some advantages of using QTP. However, developing selenium is a very good tool with the technology running. Here's a big factor to keep OOP's ability to apply and take advantage of it, where qtp fails easily. Thinking angular angular, other AJAX technology where selenium is improving day-to-day and not QTT. And, think of working with the top team with developers, who are making your app with Java / C #, you can share knowledge and techniques equally to support your project equally. , Where your project will be completely separated using QTT. And, in any case if you need help with winning Google Selenium without any doubt.
